How to Make Whipped Body Butter

Shona Naturals loves a good DIY, but remember when your mom always used to say "when you want something done right, do it yourself!" Ya, well... that works for some things, but others should be left to the professionals. This body butter though, you can certainly do yourself.

If you're feeling enthusiastic and want to add another creation to your DIY accomplishments, this the one! Not only do you get to say you did it, but you get to control what ingredients you want to use and tailor it to your needs. You also get to skip the harsh chemicals and fillers.

Here's a simple recipe, that can be altered to your liking. Cocoa butter can be swapped out for Shea or Mango butter. The carrier oils can also be swapped to Grapeseed, Avocado, Apricot, Argan, Coconut, or even Macadamia oil. The choice is yours, if you want to add fragrance or essential oils - but make sure it's in small doses to avoid irritating sensitive skin.

For the method, you can follow along with this short video, the ingredient guidelines are below.

    Ingredients:

    54g Cocoa butter
    42g Almond Oil
    23g Jojoba Oil
    1g   Vitamin E Oil

Making your own products can be so gratifying when you get to the end result. I haven't forgotten those of you who don't have a desire to DIY. If you want to skip the labour you can shop similar butters on Shona Naturals like Habits and Loyal.
    Enjoy!
